Housing some of the latest technologies in precision manufacture, FGP is an exciting and innovating place to work. Producing some of the most complex and demanding parts the aerospace industry requires, we are held in very high regard within the industry. No day is the same here on our shop floors, and there is always a new challenge to be embraced and conquered. Being an FGP employee, we require from you hard work and determination, coupled with excellent skill and attention to detail afforded to all tasks you are asked to complete.

  • By means of the very latest machine tools, be that three, four or five axis milling machines or advanced turn/mill lathes, FGP has a sustained history supporting all our customer requests from a basic turned part to the most complex prismatic milled part. Working with our customers we have taken the cast to hog out solution to the next level reducing the need for long lead time cast parts due to their complexity, over to a make from solid options reducing lead time and increasing yield.

    FGP offers an automation solution with a 13 metre 145 pallet robotic cell, using the full potential of the machine tools technology from a basic tool breakage/wear detection linked in to the automation control system to in process spindle nose probing we run a true lights out 24-7 operation.

    Machining roles at FGP are exciting fast paced and never boring. The complexity of parts produced means no two days are the same.

  • Stores
    Stores is one of the beginning process within FGP. Ensuring material is correct and in place ready for production is a vital factor within this section. Need the tooling for the job? Well stores is the place to go!

    Packing and Dispatch
    Packing is just as important as the other sections within FGP. This section is not just packing boxes! There are many vital customer requirements such as oil coatings, oxygen awareness and re-usable pack- aging that are adhered to. Programming the auto bagger is a skill in itself, and stock control and a knowledge on treatments is also an im- portant part of the dispatch processes. Packing is important within FGP as perfect parts mean properly protected parts, delivered on time!

  • FGP has the technical expertise and internal processes to successfully offer complete design for manufacture solutions. We work closely with all our customers to achieve world class safety, integrity and commercial be-spoke solutions from concept to final delivery of prod- uct.

    FGP operates Catia V5 as its primary design platform. Supporting cus-tomers with design reviews to best utilise the latest machines and machining strategies.

    FGP has a wealth of knowledge to advise when designing parts to be 3D printed , with additive layer design technique and best practice.

    To be a planner you need to be creative, with exceptional attention to detail. This is a rewarding department to work in, solving problems and providing solutions.

  • FGP believes that delivering on quality is one of the most important aspects of our business, going hand in hand with delivery and cost.

    With three temperature controlled inspection units within our facility operating to the latest quality standards, all equipped with the latest inspection hardware and software to ensure all requirements are achieved or exceeded.

    In process inspection is primary to our success, where we have the ability to inspect direct from 3D CAD models using the latest contactless Inspection equipment, Hommel Laser Scanners and Faro Edge Systems. We also compliment in-process inspection with Renishaw’s equator measuring system which enables increased workflow through the facility.

    FGP has always & will always work tirelessly to guarantee all customer requirements are maintained and sustained to the highest levels.

  • Assembly is an important part of FGP. Assembly is one of the final stages of our work process ensuring manufactured parts are assembled correctly to the customers specification. By using the best bonding materials and techniques our parts are created to last a lifetime. It’s the fine details that count here.

    Accuracy and precision is vital in this role. Working in assembly requires high levels of concentration and team work. Join us and become part of that team!
