Summary of functions:

To support and drive company KPIs for – Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People. To employ the use of variation & waste reduction tools and techniques, driving improvement initiatives. Support and lead investigations, MRBs and Root Cause Corrective Action activities internally and externally. Support strategic projects associated to Quality or CI, ensuring the successful delivery of business strategy projects, whilst adhering to regulatory compliance and achieving commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support, Implement and monitor all Quality Assurance systems to ensure compliance with AS9100 as well as company, customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Support customer requirements including RCCA, business development initiatives and workshops.
  • Act as a point of contact on all quality matters both internally and externally including suppliers.
  • Support internal and external audit scheduling to maintain all accreditations across the business.
  • Support company NCR/RCCA activities including MRBs.
  • Ability to review and decipher First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR’s) to the AS9102 Standard.
  • Support & Present during key customer business reviews.
  • Encourage and implement standard processes and practice across group.
  • To act as a change agent ensuring the optimisation of robust quality controls and operating systems.

Experience / Qualifications:
  • Wide knowledge of product and processes used in the manufacture of aerospace parts and assemblies.
  • Precision machining and related functions background preferred.
  • ISO9001 / AS9100 audit trained.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001 / 14001 and NADCAP standards beneficial.
  • ONC or above in relevant discipline or Professional Quality Engineering qualification preferred.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings & GD & T data.
  • Experience of using various problem-solving techniques including 4W1H, 5 Whys & 8D.
  • MSA (Process Capability Studies, Gauge R & R) experience desirable.
  • Ability to thrive within a multi-function fast-paced manufacturing business environment.

FGP Systems Ltd, Granby Industrial Estate, Weymouth

Hours:

39 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 7.30am until 4.30pm & Fridays 07.30am until
12.30pm
